My 5 Goals for May

Every time a new month begins, I feel this quiet nudge — a reminder that growth doesn’t always have to be loud to be real. Some of the biggest shifts happen in the softest seasons.

This May, I’m setting goals that feel like an act of self-trust. Nothing extreme. Just little promises to myself that I’m ready to keep.

1. Build a Soft but Focused Morning Routine

SMART Goal: By May 31st, I’ll wake up 30 minutes earlier on weekdays (7:30 AM) and do at least two grounding things — five minutes of journaling, ten minutes of stretching or movement, or a short creative activity — at least four mornings a week.

Mornings set the tone for everything. I’m not trying to be perfect; I’m just trying to start my days with more intention, more softness, and more space to breathe.

2. Hit a Project Milestone

SMART Goal: By May 31st, I’ll complete one major project milestone — either updating my SKIP IT. landing page, submitting my DECA competition report, or launching a small content series (3–5 posts).

Lately, I’m learning that ambition doesn’t mean rushing. It means showing up for the things that matter, even when nobody’s watching. Even one step forward this month will be a win.

3. Content Glow-Up Month

SMART Goal: By May 31st, I’ll post at least 12 pieces of content (about three per week) across TikTok, Lemon8, Instagram, and Pinterest. I’ll also refresh at least one of my bios or profile pictures to match the version of myself I’m growing into.

I’m letting my online spaces evolve with me. No pressure to be perfect — just allowing my pages to feel a little more like home.

4. Financial Fresh Start

SMART Goal: By May 31st, I’ll save or put $500 toward a bill by tracking my expenses weekly and skipping one unnecessary purchase each week.

Healing my relationship with money has been a quieter part of my glow-up, but it matters. It’s not about cutting out little joys — it’s about building a future that feels safe and steady. Every choice I make now is a way of taking care of the girl I’m becoming.

5. Prioritize Inner Peace

SMART Goal: By May 31st, I’ll complete at least 12 sessions of calming activities — yoga, acupuncture, walks outside, or meditation — to stay grounded during finals and business deadlines.

Busy seasons used to make me feel like I had to abandon myself. I’m not doing that anymore. Peace isn’t a reward; it’s part of the foundation I’m building everything else on.

Final Thoughts

May is a chance to move gently but still move forward. If you’re setting goals too, I hope you remember: soft growth is still growth. Small wins are still wins. Healing is still healing, even when it’s quiet.

You’re doing better than you think. I promise. 💌
